Craftivist Sarah Corbett describes how to make luggage tags to encourage fellow travellers to think beyond faceless statistics
Craftivism, explains Sarah Corbett, author of The Craftivist Collective Handbook and How to Be a Craftivist, is using things such as embroidery and papercraft to convey a message and start a conversation. It is ‘a more respectful and contemplative activism’. Here, she shares one of the 20 projects in her handbook: ‘Loving luggage tags’.
This project was originally created for the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London. They asked me to deliver a craftivism workshop for over 100 adults to drop in any time between 11am and 4pm on the Sunday of Refugee Week….
