Sam Richards reports from a meeting of minds on intergenerational church
I had the privilege of travelling to Asbury, Kentucky for the fifth biennial Intergenerate USA Conference in June 2025. It is an event about bringing the generations together in church, creating deeper connections between members of all ages and building a more intergenerational church culture.Each conference so far has produced a book contributing richly to the literature in this new area of ministry.
I had previously ‘attended’ the 2021 conference online (midnight to 8am BST!) during lockdown and been inspired by the breadth of engagement with intergenerational ministry, theology, discipleship and worship. This was a rare opportunity to meet some of the founders of this international movement in person and be an active member of the learning community…
