Do stay for tea and coffee: ‘Who says children‘s books are for children‘ - Reform Magazine
I’ve been on a mini book tour. The books aren’t mini – although they are for mini people – the tour is.
And before you say this is just a thinly disguised plug for my new books… well, there’s nothing ‘thinly’ about it. But talking about the books in schools has been an eye-opener.
The publisher SPCK asked me to write Fantastically Faithful Heroes Who Gave Their All for God and Fantastically Faithful World Changers Who Gave Their All for God. The books profile notable Christians from history, for children, although to be honest I’ve learned a lot myself. Who says children’s books are just for children? I’m 46 and (whisper it) I’ve gained more joy from reading my kids bedtime stories – from Winnie the Pooh to Bob Hartman – than I have reading contemporary grown-up novels on my own…
Fantastically Faithful Heroes Who Gave Their All for God and Fantastically Faithful World Changers Who Gave Their All for God by Paul Kerensa are published by SPCK
