Jay Tynan finds her extended family
My journey with exploring my faith is one that I have not shared with many people.
I had grown up in a majority Atheist family, and only ever gone to church with my grandparents. The only times I can remember my parents coming to church and staying during the services was for my christening and Remembrance Sunday. During this time I had developed a group of people who I was close to in my church and who I saw as an extra family. But I had felt like an imposter as I didn’t have the same experiences as them.
During this time, I had developed a love for science. This confused me more with my journey in faith as surely I couldn’t believe in both, right? I had stopped attending church and had began to pursue science. Looking back on this, I wish that I hadn’t, but without it, I wouldn’t be where I am now and wouldn’t have done many of the things that I have done in the last three years…
